Frequently Asked Moving Questions

Do we work bank holidays?
Yes we do.

Do we work Sundays?
Yes we do.

Do we charge more or less on different days of the week?
No our prices are exactly the same all week including Sundays.

Will we do the lifting, carrying and loading?
Yes your driver will help in anyway he or she can.

Is delivery and collection on the same day?
If the customer would like it to be then yes, we can do; same-day or staggered date jobs.

How do you pay Student Movers?
Payment is on delivery, just like a taxi, by cash or cheque.

Do we do discount for students?
Our services and prices are designed for students and therefore we cannot offer further discounts to any student waving membership cards or student rail picture cards at us. Our prices are affordable enough!  

Do we offer storage?
Yes we can offer short and medium term storage. We can also arrange long term storage with our storage partners across the UK.

How much notice should you give when booking?
Our availability varies from month to month. At our busy times of year it is best to give at least 7 days notice when booking. At our quietest times of year we can often help on the day you call.

Can we supply boxes?
Yes but only when there are five(5) working days between booking and the job taking place. This gives chance for your boxes to arrive.

Why can’t I get through to the Student Movers phone number?
Quite often the phone is on the road and can’t be answered for legal and safety reasons. On some occasions the phone will not ring at all this is often because it is out of network range. If you are experiencing difficulties phoning Student Movers please send your enquiry via email instead.
